Selling your home
You've loved your home but the time has come to move on
or away.
-
· Stand back and take an objective look around
the house. Presentation is everything. Ensure the front
of the house is clean, tidy and appealing. If you have
bold decorative taste consider re-decorating in neutral
tones for mass appeal.
-
Now you are happy with your presentation you should get
valuation figures.
-
We generally recommend 3 valuations to give you a broad
perspective; you may be surprised at the variations in
the figures discussed.
-
You should then instruct Quantum to market the property.
You can discuss the final marketing figure at this time,
we might advise an average of the valuations received.
-
Make yourselves available for viewings and let your estate
agent know your availability. If you prefer, Quantum can
hold a key for your property to attend for viewings when
you are unavailable.
-
Consider any offers you receive carefully and take your
estate agents advice at this stage.
-
Once you accept an offer you will need to instruct a
solicitor to deal with your conveyancing - choose a reputable
firm, probably by recommendation. They will need key information
from you straight away such as details of your mortgage
account for access to the title deeds.
